One press previews the stream in the list. A second press opens it full screen. Channel surfing without losing your place.
Flicking through a thousand channels to find the one showing your match usually means committing to each one and waiting for it to load. In mtivi you can look first.
How it works
- Open the channel list
The list sits over what you are already watching.
- Press OK once on a channel
It previews there, in the list, with what is on now beside it.
- Press OK again to commit
That opens it full screen. Press Back instead and you are still on your original channel.
This is what makes a huge list usable. Checking six channels costs six presses, not six full channel changes, and your playlist is not hammered with connection after connection.
What you see while previewing
- The stream itself, loading, so you know within a second whether the channel is alive.
- What is showing now from the guide, or a note when that channel has no schedule.
- The channel’s own number and logo, as your playlist supplies them.
Getting back
Back leaves the list and returns you to what was playing. Nothing about your position, your audio track or your subtitles is lost.
