What mtivi stores, what is safe to delete, and why a nearly full box misbehaves.
A TV box with a few hundred megabytes free behaves badly in ways that look like app bugs. This is what mtivi holds and what you can clear.

Room for recordings
Settings, then Recording, shows the free space where recordings are written, lets you point them at a USB drive, and can delete old ones automatically after a number of days. See Where recordings are saved.
Clearing the app’s data is not a tidy-up. It removes your playlists, favorites, layout and PINs, and on some devices it changes the Device ID. Export a backup before anyone suggests it.
