Refresh, edit or delete a playlist in mtivi

When a refresh is the right answer, what editing changes, and exactly what deleting removes.

All three live in the same place: Settings, then Playlists, then select the playlist.

Refresh Playlist

Pulls the channel list, catalog and guide again. Use it when your service added or removed channels, when your playlist was renewed, or when a sync ended with a warning.

mtivi already refreshes on its own, once a day, a few minutes after you open the app, and never over playback. A manual refresh is for when you do not want to wait.

Edit Playlist

Changes the address, login or guide address without losing your favorites, collections or layout, as long as the playlist itself stays the same one. Use it when your service moves you to a new server or resets your password.

Delete Playlist

Removes it from this device and from your account on the website. Its channels, favorites, pins and hidden items go with it. Recordings you already made stay on the device.

Deleting is not how you free a stuck sync. Refresh first, and read the warning line the app shows. Deleting throws away the favorites and layout you built, and re-adding the same playlist will not bring them back.

A refresh that keeps failing

The app names the reason: a rejected login, an expired playlist, a connection limit, or a server that is not answering. Each has its own fix in Your login was rejected or your playlist has expired.
