Set one
- Open the guide and find the program
Anything that has not started yet.
- Press OK and choose the reminder
It appears in the Planner under Upcoming.
How much warning
Set how early it lands under Settings, then Planner, then Reminder notification. When the moment comes mtivi does not hide a badge in a menu: it plays a chime and puts a full-screen reminder in front of whatever is playing, even if you have left the app, because the television is across the room.
Reminder or recording? A reminder assumes you will be there. A recording does not. For anything that matters, and any playlist that allows a single stream at a time, a recording is the safer choice.
Seeing what is planned
The Planner lists reminders beside recordings, with what already ran underneath. A reminder that fired is marked as reminded, so there is no guessing whether it worked.
