Put the categories you use at the top, hide the forty you do not, and keep it all reversible.
Most playlists arrive with far more categories than anyone watches, in an order nobody chose. mtivi lets you fix that per type, and nothing is thrown away.
Sort them
- Settings, then Browsing
Pick Live TV Categories, Movie Categories or Series Categories. Each type is sorted separately.
- Choose an order
Playlist Order keeps what your service sent. A to Z and Z to A sort by name. Most Items First puts the big categories on top, which is usually what you want on a huge list.
Hide the ones you never open
In the same screen, or by long-pressing a category in the list, you can hide it. Hiding a category does not touch Favorites, Recent or your own collections, and All Channels still holds everything.
Everything you hide is listed in Control Center under Settings, with an undo for each item and a reset for all of them. That is what makes aggressive tidying safe.
Your own categories
Collections are categories you build yourself: pick channels or titles from anywhere in the list, name it, and it sits beside the rest. You can merge two collections, rename your own, and pin one to the top. See Favorite, pin, lock, hide and reorder channels.
