Strip the tags your service bolted onto every name, with a default list on every plan and your own words on paid plans.
Services decorate names with tags: [HD], (4K), |UHD|, country codes, emojis, sometimes all at once. The Title Optimizer removes them for display without touching the real list.
Turn it on
Settings, then Advanced, then the Title Optimizer section. It has a master switch and a live before and after preview, so you can see what it strips before you commit. The default word list is on every plan, Free included.
Add your own words
Paid plans let you add your own tags, prefixes and emojis to strip. Useful when your service uses a house style nothing else knows about, for example a repeated supplier name in front of every film.
Nothing is renamed at the source. The optimizer changes what you see. Turn it off and every original name comes straight back.
Why it matters beyond tidiness
- Sorting works properly once names start with the actual title instead of a tag.
- Search finds things, because you type the name rather than the decoration.
- Combined playlists line up, because the same channel from two services ends up with the same name.
- The guide matches more channels, because guide data is matched on names.
