The three fields an Xtream login uses, where each one goes, and the mistakes that cause a rejection.
An Xtream Codes playlist is the most common thing a service hands out. You get three pieces: a server address, a username and a password.
Add it
- Settings, then Playlists, then Add Playlists
Choose the XTREAM Codes tab.
- Enter the server address
Include http or https and the port if you were given one, for example
http://example.com:8080. Do not paste a full playlist link here. - Enter the username and password
Both are case sensitive. Copy them rather than retyping if you can.
- Save and let it sync

Turning a long link into three fields
If your service only gave you one long link, look at it closely. A link shaped like http://example.com:8080/get.php?username=AAA&password=BBB&type=m3u_plus already contains all three: the address is the part before /get.php, and the username and password are in the text. You can add it as an M3U link instead, but using the three fields gives you a faster catalog and better guide coverage.
Typing on a TV is the usual culprit. Add the playlist from a phone at mtivi.app instead, then press Reload on the TV. See Manage your playlists from a phone or computer.
What mtivi does with an Xtream line
- Channels, movies and series in one sync, with categories as your service named them.
- The service’s own guide, plus any XMLTV address you add yourself.
- Catch-up on channels that carry a replay archive.
- The expiry date of the playlist, shown beside the playlist in Settings.
If it will not connect
The app names the real reason instead of a generic error. A rejected login and an expired playlist look identical to any app, because Xtream answers both the same way. Start with Your login was rejected or your playlist has expired.
