Send video from any app on your phone to the TV, and it plays in mtivi's player: generated subtitles, live translation, your own subtitle file, and the full 4K, HDR and Dolby handling.
This is the feature we built so you can use mtivi even when the video is not from mtivi.
Switch receiving on and your box becomes the screen other devices cast to. What arrives does not play in a bare viewer: it opens in mtivi’s own player, exactly as if you had tapped a film in your own library. Everything the player can do, it can do to a video that came from your phone.
What you gain by casting into mtivi

Turn it on
- Open the Cast page in mtivi
Sending and receiving sit side by side, with a radar that finds devices on your network.
- Switch receiving on
It is off until you do, so nothing can appear on your TV uninvited.
- Send from the other device
Your box appears in its list of screens. The page walks you through it if the other device cannot see you.
Kids is protected. While the Kids profile is open, casts from other devices are turned away rather than queued. A child’s screen cannot be taken over from another room.
If your box is not found
Both devices must be on the same network, and guest wifi counts as a separate one. Many routers also stop devices on a guest network from seeing each other, which is the usual reason a screen never appears.
