Schedule a recording, and repeat it every week

Follow a show by name, or hold a time slot on any days you choose, even on a channel with no guide.

Scheduling and repeating are paid features, on Trial, Pro, Lifetime and Max. They are reached from the same long-press menu.

Schedule one showing

Open the guide, move to a program that has not started, press OK and choose to record it. It appears in the Planner under Upcoming.

Repeat Recording

Mode Use it when
Follow the show Your guide names the program. mtivi records it whenever that name appears, even if the broadcaster moves it.
Record a time slot You want a channel between two times on chosen days. Works with no guide at all.

Set one up

  1. Long-press the program, or the channel

A program gives you both modes. A channel with no guide gives you the time slot mode.

  2. Choose the days

Any combination of the week, not only daily or weekly.

  3. Set padding once, if you want it

Settings, then Planner, holds how early a recording starts and how long it keeps going after the listed finish. Both default to on time.

Managing a series of recordings

  • Skip one occurrence and keep the rest.
  • Stop repeating entirely.
  • If the broadcaster moves the show, a following recording re-snaps to the new slot on its own.

When a paid plan ends, repeats stop and everything already recorded stays playable. That is the same rule as everywhere else in mtivi: you keep what you have.

Everything scheduled is listed in the Planner, with what already ran and how it turned out.
