Bring an .srt or .vtt file you downloaded, and nudge it into sync if it drifts.
If a film has no subtitles in the language you need, you can supply one yourself.
Add the file
- Copy the file to the device
Internal storage or a USB stick. Common formats are supported, including .srt and .vtt.
- Start the title, then open the subtitle picker
Choose the option to load a file, and pick it.
- Fix the timing if it drifts
Nudge in tenths of a second or half seconds, with a reset when you overshoot.
Subtitles match a specific cut of a film. A file made for a different release will drift progressively rather than sit at a fixed offset, and no amount of nudging will hold it. Find a file matching your version instead.
