Guide times are off by an hour or more

Almost always the device clock or the guide's own time zone. Here is how to tell them apart.

If every program in the guide is shifted by the same amount, the data is fine and something about time is not.

Check the device clock first

Open your device’s own settings
Not mtivi’s. The Android or Fire TV date and time screen.
Set date and time automatically
Then set the time zone automatically as well, or pick your zone by hand.
Reopen mtivi
The guide is drawn against the device clock, so it corrects itself immediately.

Still shifted by a whole number of hours

Then the guide file is published in a different time zone from the one it claims. That is a problem at the source. Ask your service for a guide matched to your region, or use a different guide address.

Shifted by half an hour? Some guides are published for regions that use half-hour offsets. Same cause, same fix: it is the file, not the app.

Only some channels are wrong

That is not a clock problem. Those channels matched the wrong guide entries, which is a naming issue. See The TV guide is empty or shows the wrong programs.
